ClubdeRoc – South Somerset's Premier LeRoc Club with Thursday night classes every week at the Liberal Club in Yeovil is the perfect venue for beginners and intermediates and has the reputation for being the friendliest dance club in the south-west.

For those not in the know, LeRoc grew from Rock N Roll which the Americans took to France The French just refined it and now it changes and grows all the time as people invent new moves and also migrate them from other dance disciplines. Different from Rock N Roll, LeRoc can be danced to a huge range of music from Swing through to current club music! It is very energetic and energising with the girls doing a lot of spinning and twirling. The men lead, but with hundreds of moves to choose from no couple ever does the same routine - and don't let a lack of partner stop you from coming along because everyone gets moved around during tuition so they get the chance to learn with more experienced partners and meet everyone there.

Each week there are over 70,000 people across the UK who are learning to LeRoc. Are you one of them? We have teenage club members as well as those well into their fifties, so however old you are, there's bound to be people within your age group.

The joining fee is £6.00 which includes your first evening, after that it's £5.00 a week. If you just want to come and see what it is all about then it will cost you £6.00.

TEACHERS

Our motley crew have been dancing and teaching for several years – the one thing that marks them all out is their enthusiasm for LeRoc and their ability to pass their knowledge on to newcomers and more experienced dancers alike.

Julie, who established ClubdeRoc some ten years ago because friends wanted ‘to learn that dance you do' has been teaching ever since. She has her own inimitable style and ensures there is plenty of laughter during the classes and that no one takes it all too seriously.

	Mike, who was one of the Club's very first students, is a natural dancer and teacher. He has his own laid-back style and he too brings humour and ease to the dance floor. He and Julie have been teaching beginners for longer than they want to remember now and together they get the first-timers off to a flying start.
	Jim must have the world's best memory when it comes to learning and remembering moves, and he brings this skill to the routines he helps create. His style is smooth and flowing and in a good week he reckons to LeRoc at least five evenings around the country.

WEEKLY CLASSES

Every Thursday at The Liberal Club, Middle Street , Yeovil. Nearly opposite Wetherspoon's pub and next to Wilkinsons. Parking at the rear of the building, behind the leisure complex or in Stars Lane . A great dance floor, good bar and a friendly crowd. Doors open at 8.25 p.m. and we start the beginners class shortly afterwards.

There is a Freestyle practice session between classes. This gives you a chance to polish your moves, get help from the teachers or have a really good dance. Alternatively you can just sit and socialise.

FREESTYLES

There are a variety of freestyles around the area, including Yeovil, Axminster, Dorchester, Wincanton and Taunton.
